LegalTech New York 2009 - Preview
January 31, 2009LegalTech New York 2009 is just a few days away! This is the main legal technology event of the year and there will be many important guests in the field of legal technology and e-discovery.
At this event, e-Lessons Learned will be conducting interviews to get insight and opinions from some very important people in this field, and the videos will be recorded and posted on this blog so you can hear what they think!
Some of the people we expect to interview are John W. Woods, whose career focuses on privacy and information management. John is very involved in e-discovery and counsels clients about the matter frequently. He will be giving the Keynote address How eDiscovery is Changing the relationship Between Law Firms and Their Corporate Clients.
Another person we expect to interview is Karen Cottle – SVP, Corporate Secretary & General Counsel of Adobe Systems. She is a panelist for Inside the LegalTech Studio: Impact of Technology on Legal Leadership and Decisions. At this session, panelists will discuss technology, as well as, making e-discovery work to your advantage from a business perspective. Notably Karen is currently on the Forbes list of The Highest-Paid Women In Corporate America.
Patrick Oot is another person who we are expecting to interview. Patrick is the Director of Electronic Discovery and Senior Litigation Counsel at Verizon in Washington, DC. Patrick will be the moderator for LegalTech Town Hall, which is a discussion forum answering questions via YouTube submissions.
